Within the framework of the project 619119-EPP-1-2020-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “Synergy of educational, scientific, managerial and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention” / CLIMAN (Erasmus+ Program, Neighborhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument, Objective KA2: Higher Education Capacity Building), representatives of the Western Ukrainian National University visited the University of Foggia (Italy) from August 30 to September 1, 2023: Olena Borysiak, Project Coordinator, Director of the Educational and Research Center for Innovative Development and Training of the Educational and Research Institute of Innovation, Environmental Management and Infrastructure; Vasyl Brych, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Innovation, Environmental Management and Infrastructure; and Antin Shuvar, Head of the Department of Agribiotechnology.
Giulio Esposito, Head of the Office of International Relations of the University of Foggia, coordinated the organization of the training program within the framework of the implementation of the project 619119-EPP-1-2020-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “Synergy of educational, scientific, managerial and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention” / CLIMAN (Erasmus+ Program). Project partners from Ukraine and Georgia took part in the study visit: KROK University (Ukraine), Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University (Ukraine), Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine), Western Ukrainian National University (Ukraine), Batumi State University named after Shota Rustaveli (Georgia), and Kutaisi State University named after Akakia Tsereteli (Georgia).
The purpose of the visit was to deepen knowledge, exchange scientific and practice-oriented developments on the formation of synergy of educational, scientific, managerial and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention at universities of the European Union (on the example of the University of Foggia, Italy), to help universities in Ukraine and Georgia become centers for the development of climate management research to accelerate integration into the global climate market and the implementation of global climate regulation requirements through the implementation of
The curriculum included participation in trainings and workshops on conducting climate management research in the European Union. As part of the study visit, working meetings were held between the project partners from Ukraine and Georgia, and the status of the work packages was discussed. Director of the Educational and Research Center for Innovative Development and Training of the Educational and Research Institute of Innovation, Olena Borysiak, Director of the Educational and Research Center for Innovative Development and Training of the Institute of Innovation, Environmental Management and Infrastructure of ZUNU, discussed with the partners the peculiarities of fulfilling the tasks within the work package on the establishment and operation of climate management centers at partner universities in Ukraine and Georgia within the framework of the project 619119-EPP-1-2020-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “Synergy of educational, scientific, managerial and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention” / CLIMAN.
All participants received certificates of participation in the study visit to the University of Foggia (Italy).
