Introduction of medicinal plants

A collection of medicinal plants (chamomile, St. John’s wort, Echinacea purpurea, common thyme, lemon balm, caraway seeds, coriander, marigold, flax, lovage) was introduced as part of the Laboratory for Monitoring the Carbon Absorption Capacity of Phytocoenoses at the Educational and Research Institute of Innovation, Nature Management and Infrastructure of the Western Ukrainian National University. With the active participation of students and teachers of the Department of Agbiotechnology, the research plots were planned and individual crops were sown. In the future, this collection will be supplemented with new less common valuable crops and varieties. The laboratory will be used to conduct research and development activities to address pressing issues in agricultural production.
